Spring Has Arrived

Posted: Mon 2:22 AM, Mar 22, 2010

It may officially be spring, but that really doesn't matter much. Temps are going to take a hit and we could see some snow shower activity very soon.

I hope you had a great weekend.... the weather was perfect for outdoor activities. I couldn't pull myself out of the house long enough to enjoy the nice stuff. I was glued to YMT and the NCAA tourney. I am still in pretty good shape with my bracket, but Kansas losing hurt me pretty bad! I did have them in the championship game against Kentucky.

Enough basketball chatter... let's talk about what's coming! The colder air is on the way for Monday. That cold air will catch up with some moisture so snow will be possible. The higher elevations have a better chance for accumulation. It isn't looking like a lot will be possible, but we'll see some in those areas.

The highest totals will be around a half inch for elevations 2500ft and above. Those chances aren't off the charts! The cold air will really smack you in the face after the warm weekend that just ended.

Spring began at 1:32pm on Saturday. Here's what happened!

These are just a couple of different ways to look at the equinox.
