Eastern Kentucky Weather

A Cooler Feel

The days have gotten much cooler since we wrapped up the last work week. We have entered a period that looks very familiar.

The very dry air has been the bigger headline here lately. Now I do want to point out that we have gone through worse dry spells, but when the flames hit the dry spots we start running into all kinds of issues.

There is a very weak disturbance coming our way for Tuesday/Wednesday. During that time I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the rain pans out!

GFS Tues Afternoon            GFS Tues Evening

WRF Tues Afternoon             WRF Tues Evening

Either way, this moisture does not look at all impressive. At best we'll see around a quarter of an inch or maybe even a half inch of rainfall. I'm not super optimistic though.

Temps Will stay around the norm for this part of April. I still think we'll have some cool breezes and all that jazz, but that should be just about it for us!
