Funeral arrangements pending for MSU student killed in crash
Posted: 10:41 PM - Funeral arrangements have not yet been made for a Morehead State student killed in a car crash this weekend.
The strong storms with heavy rain have moved through the area. Some of them have dumped quite a bit of rainfall and that could lead to some flash flooding.
Flash Flood Watch runs through 8am Wednesday morning

The ground is getting pretty saturated in the areas that have seen the rainfall.

These totals above will change as the rainfall starts rolling through.
I think we could give the showers and storms another go around on Wednesday. There will be a lot of juice in the atmosphere to keep these storms going. That can also mean more water will be able to come out of the storms.
The heat will be the other big story this week. While I think temps will slack off by a few degrees on Wednesday... the solid heat will return on Thursday. Check out the highs from Tuesday.

Real Time Heat Index

Right before the storms started showing up on Tuesday afternoon... we were dealing with heat indices in the triple digits. At one point, in Middlesboro, I saw a 104 heat index reading. I do think the humidity will briefly take a cat nap... it will be back with more heat by the end of the week. Summer is still a few days away!
