Madison Co. man charged with neglecting his mother
7 mins ago - A Madison County man is in jail accused of neglecting his own mother.
The only thing cooling things down out there is rain! A few of us did have a passing shower or storm on Tuesday evening. If you were lucky enough to get under one of these showers you did see temps drop. The only issue with these summer showers & storms is the fact that once they leave it gets muggier. We won't need any showers to make it feel muggy on Wednesday.
For the second straight day we will be under a Heat Advisory.

What exactly is a heat advisory? Here's how the NWS defines a heat advisory...
A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN... AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS. REMEMBER TO NEVER LEAVE PETS OR CHILDREN UNATTENDED FOR ANY AMOUNT OF TIME IN AN AUTOMOBILE DURING THE HEAT OF THE DAY. Here's how you can read the Heat Index.![]()
Forecast highs are in the mid 90s for most areas. That's without the humidity included! When you factor that in we'll see readings right at or over 100 degrees on the Feels Like index.

Follow those steps you see above and you should combat the heat pretty well on Wednesday.
