Kentuckians look to help OK storm victims
Posted: 7:35 AM - Many Kentuckians are looking for ways to help those storm victims and their families.
For the first time in a few years I will not be working on Black Friday. I'll hopefully be out with many of you trying to find some good deals or what I really like to do... people watch! It's always a ton of fun just to be there in the whole mess. If you have never braved the early morning cold and lines then you don't know what you are missing... or maybe you do...LOL
This year will be similar to many I have been associated with before. The cold will be there and that cold could be joined by some moisture. I'll talk more about that in a few minutes.
GFS Tuesday Morning GFS Tuesday Around Noon

The first big player brings a pretty good chance of rain to us on Tuesday. Some of the showers are going to be very gusty in nature. I'm not going to rule out the possibility of a stronger thunderstorm with the passage. Hopefully, it will mainly be a good soaking of rain for the entire area.
The rain will sweep out of KY on Wednesday and try to make another run at the region on Wednesday. This will probably happen later in the day. The next real solid chance of rain will be back on Thanksgiving.
GFS Thanksgiving Around Noon GFS Thanksgiving Evening

Behind this front we'll have some much colder air trying to grab a hold of the region for a couple of days. Specifically, BLACK FRIDAY!
GFS Friday Morning

The image you are looking at is right around big sale time! The moisture you see in pink represents the snow with even some sleet and freezing rain showing up in red and blue! Happy Shopping! I'm not saying this will be an epic snowstorm... it will be an epic nightmare for folks trying to travel to the store of their choice. This is when I think snow is a bad thing. Traffic accidents will be a big issue. I encourage all of you to keep watching the blog for more details. I'll have the latest on how the snow will cause you problems.
