Arctic chill invades the mountains

Some of the coldest air in the last 10 years will make its way into the mountains this week.

The snow made its way into the region, leaving anywhere from a dusting to a few inches behind, but now the big event, the bone chilling cold, will make its way into the mountains.

A Wind Chill Warning goes into effect at 10am Monday and lasts until 11am Tuesday for most of the area. A Wind Chill Advisory goes into effect for Pulaski, Wayne and McCreary County for the same time frame. 

For today, the biggest things to remember is that temperatures and wind chill values will continue to fall during the day and through the night. Here's the forecast:

For your Tuesday, temperatures will go up, but not by much. Look for highs to top out around 9 above with the wind slowly starting to die down.
