I can nearly picture it now...
I have been to a couple of dinners already, but I have yet to see a turkey look this good! I hope yours looks better than this and you have all the trimmings. Please don't forget to donate to our Mountain Harvest Food Drive! I know that during this time of year people will ask when you cannot give. We've all had days like that! A can of corn or peas is all you need to buy and if you stick with the generic brand you are looking at a very small investment.
Most of your Thursday is looking fine. The main areas of rain will likely hang up to our north or to our west. These areas could see some pretty hefty amounts of rain. Flood Watches have been posted all around us and even in western KY. These folks were in need of rain, but not like this!
This should give you an idea of what to expect.
The timeframe for this image runs between Wednesday Night and Thursday night. Most of our area is in the dry category. The main organized system brings more rain over waterlogged places and keeps us drier. This system won't arrive in east KY until later or early Friday.
EURO Friday AM GFS Friday AM
What you are seeing above is the rain along the front. That front will completely overtake the region on Friday and allow for some very cold temperatures to come pouring into east KY. That's where all of the travel concerns for Friday come into play.
Again, it's not the accumulatin snow that I am worried about... it is the reaction to the snow!
This is around sale time. The pink shows us where the snow is located.
This is when the change over to snow begins. I expect a few more hours of that type of activity!
If we see anything stick it will be close to what this image is trying to show. Overall just a nasty Black Friday!
