Calm Weather Ahead

Meteorologist Shane Smith brings you a forecast that looks very different than what we've seen so far this Summer.

The weather today was simply wonderful.  It’s the kind of days only the Adams Family would hate, plenty of sunshine, comfortable & warm temperatures.  What’s not to like?  Well if you liked today I’ve got good news for you my friends, this kind of weather is going to be sticking around for a while.  An area of high pressure is just off to our west and is ushering in this cooler and drier air mass.

Another cool front will re-enforce that air on Thursday.  The front looks dry right now , which just means temperatures will continue to stay a few degrees below average, and we may see just a smidge more cloud cover on Thursday.

After that the heat will try to return for the weekend, but without the humidity it won’t feel too bad.  Check out the GFS High temperatures for Saturday and Sunday.

In fact we only have one chance of rain in the 7-day forecast, you can check it out below.

We’ll just have to wait and see how long this tranquil pattern holds out… if the year so far is any indication, I doubt it will be for very long.
