Enjoying the calmer weather

Chief Meteorologist Shane Smith has more on the spring like pattern setting up as we set the clocks forward.

I don't know about you all, but I am very thankful for some quiet weather for once this winter.  We may see a few showers tomorrow morning as a storm system pass by to the south.  The best chance will be along the Virginia and Tennessee borders.  You can track the precipitation on the radar below.

There is a chance some of this may fall in the form of freezing rain if we can drop the temperatures cold enough by tomorrow morning.  It's going to be a close call either way, you can track the temperatures below.

As we go through the next couple of days, we look dry once we get tomorrows rain out the way.  In fact Saturday should be pretty awesome with sunny skies and highs near 60.  A few showers of the rain variety will be around on Sunday.  Next week starts off spring like, but old man winter may not be done with us just yet.  Here's a look at the 7-Day Forecast.

I'm ready to skip ahead to summer, how about you?

Also if you happen to be up near Pikeville tomorrow, we will be at Food City from 3-7 PM programming weather radios.  Be sure to stop by and get one to be ready for severe weather season!
