A couple of waves of energy will roll across Kentucky over the next couple of days. This could lead to some flood problems if we see the amount of rainfall that some of the data is spitting out. Plus you throw in saturated ground and we have some real potential.

The counties you see above are highlighted because it looks like this area will fall where the heaviest bands will be travelling.
I'll show you a couple of of different forecast maps below.
NAM Thursday-Friday

Notice east KY picks up around 1"-2.5" and some parts of KY get up to around 3.5"-4"
GFS Thursday-Friday

GFS is also picking up on the heavy amounts of rain across Kentucky. Again... generally we are seeing 1"-2" in our region. Isolated amounts will be higher!
If you are living in a flood prone area start paying attention to any creeks or streams around your home or road. The water might get out of the banks before you know it.
Going with a blend of a few models... I'd say the folks in SE KY could pick-up anywhere around 1"-4" In some of our more western counties.
Keep one eye on the sky and the other on any water around you. Remember that anytime you encounter water over a road... think T.A.D.D. Turn Around Don't Drown! It could save your life!!!!!
