Investigators 'zeroing in' on Colorado wildfire start
Posted: 06/17/2013 - Sheriff's officials say they have now recorded more than 500 homes leveled by the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history.
As promised... here is an update to the crazy forecast coming our way.
First we talk rainfall... it looks like most areas could see 1-2 inches of rain from this system. Locations north of our area will be more open to the heavier rains though.

Then you factor in some howling winds that could approach 40mph from time to time and you have one miserable set-up coming our way.
Temps will drop like a rock!

You can watch them drop from west to east on the map above.
Finally... what most of you came here to read about! The wintry weather possibilities. I have yet to see one of the precip type models pick up on the wintry stuff... other than the RPM... which is a model we use at WYMT.
It's barely shwoing it in the highest elevations here in this image. All the other data is coming together to suggest that we will in fact see some of that activity happening.
I'll have another update on Wednesday morning!
