Labor Day Weekend Forecast Looks Active

Meteorologist Shane Smith has a look at a Labor Day Forecast that continues to head downhill.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news... I also really hate when mother nature keeps throwing a wrench in the forecast.  The weekend forecast continues to grow more active with each passing model run, and as such I keep having to bump the chances of rain up.

The first of two cold fronts is set to enter the region on Saturday.  It should bring us a few showers and storms on Saturday, but there should be some sunshine mixed in between the rain chances.  Here's what the GFS model shows for rain chances Saturday afternoon.

We get another chance of rain on Sunday as that cold front begins to drive out of the Ohio Valley.  The GFS model once again is showing hit and miss rain on Sunday.

You can see the second cold front lining up behind it.  It looks to arrive on Monday.

As you can see the rain looks to be a little more widespread on Labor Day, and the day looks a little more dreary.  After that some more fall like air will enter Kentucky with highs struggling to get out of the 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I'll have another update tomorrow.  Until then take care!
