Well it was certainly a cold start to the day across eastern KY as temperatures dropped to near record levels area wide, into the upper 20s. We will see one more very cold morning on Thursday, but not as cold with highs only in the lower to mid 30s. The area of high pressure that brought us the sunshine today is going no where fast, and is going to make for a very nice stretch of weather over the next several days. We may see a pop up shower over the next few days as we warm up, however I don't think we will see a lot in the way of rain.
The forecast for Easter Sunday is looking very nice. Plenty of sunshine will be with us and temperatures are set to sore. Check out the forecast highs from the GFS models for Sunday. Most of us will end up in the mid 70s.
Our next best chance of rain looks to come early next Tuesday as a cold front will briefly break down that high pressure enough to bring some precipitation to the region.
It won't last long though as conditions look to grow even warmer by the middle of next week. Hello sunshine and 80!
