Much Needed Rainfall

Posted: Tue 10:38 PM, Nov 16, 2010

The rains were pretty decent in many cases. A new 24 hour rainfall record was broken in London. Like London... most places picked up better than an inch.

The rains we saw on Tuesday were much needed! Many parts of Kentucky are in desperate need of rainfall. Here in eastern KY we aren't hurting as bad as other locations, but we are feeling a small portion of the problem.

Another weaker system will swing into Kentucky on Thursday. This one might be able to tap the cooler air and bring in at least a few flakes of snow. But that's it... just a few flakes!

This image shows that cold air will be in place... yet... the precip keeps showing up in the rainy form. I think that we'll see at least a few flakes on Thursday morning. After that it will mainly be rain!
