Eastern Kentucky Weather

Nice & Calm

Posted: Tue 10:04 PM, Mar 01, 2011

The sunshine looked pretty nice out there on Tuesday. Now... it didn't push temps back up the thermometer to pre-frontal levels, but it was still pretty nice!

The next few days will feature some pretty nice temps. Pretty close to normal on Wednesday. Then slowly but surely another run at 60 degrees! We need this nice little quiest period to dry out after the heavy rains many locations endured on Monday.

Normal daytime highs are usually in the low 50s and lows are just above freezing. In weather you can't honestly use the word "Normal" so it's really the average. We'll be right around each number set over the next few days.

Another bigger player will arrive at the end of the week. It could once again bring some showers and storms to the region. Right now I keep going back and forth on Friday's timing! Will we see showers on Friday or will the system hold off long enough for it to mainly be a weekend thing.

GFS Fri Night

EURO Fri Night

If the data keeps showing this much moisture I'll include a solid chance of rain for Friday. The data has been going back and forth here lately. Just hold on and we'll work it out!
