Sandy's Snow

Posted: Sat 7:25 PM, Oct 27, 2012

The data is coming together more and more! It's pointing to snow here in eastern KY.

Rarely, does one get to talk about snow and a hurricane at the same time. That's what we have been hinting at these past few days and the data is really coming together now.

What I am about to show you is the GFS Snowfall Forecast and the NAM. The GFS runs through Thursday and the NAM Thru Tuesday night.

Both of these are really coming together with the totals. Which is honestly highly unusual that they'd agree this early. It still all depends on that final track of Sandy. This is based off of a run that suggests very similar points of impact. Now with that being said... do I think snow will come from this system? Absolutely, I am not ready to jump on a particular forecast though. I might be ready to really consider it by Sunday.

Keep watching and keep checking this ole blog and I will keep you folks updated!
