Lightning strike causes damage to Laurel County church
6 mins ago - Like many near tragedies the story of what happened to London’s First Pentecostal Church is described as something that could have been much worse.
The threat for all out non-stop thunderstorms doesn't look very likely. The risk for some showers and a stray thundershower looks more like the big ticket item to me.
Temps will have all kinds of room to climb into the 60s and around 70 if the cloud cover can stay away long enough. The problem there is... I don't think the clouds and rain will hold off long enough. Most areas will see highs in the 60s.
After the front passes through east KY we'll see temps drop off again. It won't be a big shock to the system though. The weekend highs will still be above normal.
I'll have another update on Friday morning!
