Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
51 mins ago - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
Winter won't officially arrrive until December 21, 6:12 A.M. EST. But in a normal year we usually see some pretty cold air by this point. So far, December 11th has been one of the colder days of fall. Highs only maxed out in the 30s and lows dipped into the 20s in many spots.
So where is winter? Oh... it'll be here before you know it!
The rest of this week will actually include warmer temps each day. We might even make another run at 60 degrees this weekend. That would be nice... right? Absolutely!
Next week will bring a return of some cooler temps and maybe a chance of some snow. Yes... the dirty snow word.

Both the EURO and GFS are hinting at a pretty good snow shield across KY on Tuesday. One of the big issues we'll face is placement. Where will the low roll up the coast? The reach of the moisture might not even make it that far north or west. This system will sweep in from our south... but during the early stages I don't think the air will be cold enough for wintry weather. It's the turn at the end that will make all the difference in the world.
I'll continue watching the data and I'll keep you updated as this gets closer.
