Chief Meteorologist Shane Smith is tracking some pretty wild changes in store for the weather of Eastern Kentucky.

It's pretty amazing just how fast  the weather in Eastern Kentucky can change.  Case in point is the forecast.  We're going to go from sunshine and 70 degree temperatures Tuesday afternoon, to near 0 degree wind chills by Thursday morning.  Here's how it all plays out.  A very strong cold front is set to enter Eastern Kentucky Wednesday.  We will go from Thunderstorms in the morning to snow in the evening.  Here's how it all plays out according to the GFS model:

Wednesday Morning:

Wednesday Afternoon:

Wednesday Evening;

Thursday Early Morning:

The storm is going to bring us a little bit of everything.  We will see the potential of a little accumulation of snow on Wednesday morning, but it shouldn't be a big event.

 What may be a bigger story is the wind chill on Thursday.  The actual air temperature will be in the teens, but the feels like temperature will reach near 0.

After that temperatures will return to more spring like levels by the end of the week.  It's the winter that will never end, I'm just hoping that this is the last hurrah.  I'm really ready for some good old fashion Kentucky spring.
