Summer Returns, Not For Long

Chief Meteorologist Shane Smith has a look at the forecast which is going to be warm and humid for a short while, and then turns cooler.

After the record cold of last week, things are finally feeling more like typical summer in Eastern Kentucky.  The humidity is a little high for my tastes, but it's not anything we haven't dealt with yet this summer.  Tomorrow is looking warm and humid once again.  Temps top out near 90 with feels like readings in the mid 90s.

A few isolated storms are possible tomorrow, but better chances will be with us late Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front crosses into the region.   You can see that on the NAM model.

It doesn't look like it will be a ton of rain, just a few rounds of storms and showers Wednesday nigh through the day Thursday.  Things will cool down a bit as we head into Friday and the first part of the weekend though.  The GFS is showing the cool down but is probably just a bit too cool on Saturday.

At least mother nature is keeping things interesting this summer.
