Missing Kentucky man found
Posted: 05/25/2013 - Some good news tonight for the family of a Kentucky man that's been missing for more than two weeks.
We have talked about all we can talk and now it's time for things to start happening! As moisture continues to roll into KY early Friday morning it will begin to change. That change means we'll see some snow thrown into this mess. At around 5:30is on Thursday we were getting reports that Black Mountain had snow flying around. These higher elevations will get a very small chance to see any clearing. That means that it could be wintry up there all day on Friday.
Here are the models

Here's my take on the whole thing. The highest elevations will see the accumulation. It will generally be light, but any accumulation right now will make for an interesting ride over the mountain. I don't think we'll be dealing with any major issues... just a nuisance! I am going with around an inch or less for those locations. The rest of us see snow in the early morning and then mixing with rain through the day. By the time the evening hours get here I think it will once again lean more towards snow. In extreme cases, in the lower elevated spots, light accumulations on solid cold surfaces or even some grassy areas can't be ruled out.
There you have my final take on this first taste of winter.

I was just wondering if Stanville will be in on the action. I really can't wait for winter even though it had its advantages and disadvantages. Bring on the snow. :)
Lexy... Some light stuff, but nothing major for that part of Floyd County!

Adam... I am almost ready to make a call on the winter! I might cut back from last year's pre-season totals!
