The weekend is here, and I for one am looking forward to breaking out the shorts and sandals. Temperatures are set to climb into the upper 70s on Saturday, and the lower 80s on Sunday. Check out what the GFS model is showing for high temperatures on Sunday afternoon. The GFS has a bit of historically tendency to under do warm ups, so you can tack a couple more degrees to it.
The warmth won't last too long though, a cold front will enter the region late on Monday. This front will likely bring wind driven strong thunderstorms Monday evening. Here's a look at what the NAM model thinks the radar will look like Monday night around 11 PM.
The cold air wraps quickly into this storm and may end as a little snow on Tuesday morning. I'm not very happy to say it, but we may see some flakes fly Tuesday morning.
And after that get ready for a big shot of cooler air. Wednesday morning will likely be cool enough that we could see widespread frost or freeze conditions. All you green thumbs out there be ready to deal with this cold.
Enjoy the awesome weekend!
