The Battle Begins Soon

No... Brandon and I aren't going to jump up on jousting pedestals and duke it out. The battle between the warmer air and the colder air.

I know it's a slow process, but the snow is working its way across KY as I type this post! I have looked over numbers all day and I made some slight changes to the snowfall forecast. Not a big change, but a change!

For the folks in Pulaski, Roackcastle, Wayne, Jackson, Laurel, Lee, and Wolfe Counties around 3am-5am.

Knox, Whitley, Clay, Owsley, Breathitt, Bell, Morgan, Magoffin, Leslie, Perry, and Bell Counties aroun 5am-7am.

Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Lawrence, Breathitt, Martin, Knott, Letcher, and Pike 7am-9am!

The snow will come down heavy at times. This will allow for quick accumulations in along the path of the snow. Once again, this isn't one of those systems that will linger around here forever. It wraps up by early on Thursday.

Watch the pretty radar!

My forecast stays the same! After reading your comments I understand that there is some confusion.

  • The 6"-10" snow swath is geared for the highest elevations. However, I think that some of the low spots will hang right around the 6" mark. Which is the high end of the other swath!
  • This will be a heavy wet snow. Power issues are expected with this storm.
  • Temperatures could burn me! I think everything plays out just like you see below, but temps could burn me!
  • When snow starts it has potential to really lay down snow in a hurry.

I'll update again later tonight!

C-Ya Bye
