Eastern Kentucky Weather

Some New Notes

There's no doubt in my mind that a storm will develop and spread snow around to several states! What will Kentucky see?

I just wanted to updat you guys again and let you know what I am thkning at this point. Some of you have stressed that the models are hard to read and you are right! Not only for you, but right now we are on a make it or break-it run. That's why you don't see a snowfall forecast yet! I'm honestly not sure at this point. I have numbers in my head, but I need some more data before I will commit! I will probably have some numbers out later today!

  • To answer the other big question on everyone's mind Heavy Wet Snow or "Dry" Light Snow? This event will be the heavy wet stuff.
  • The track in my head would cause issues for our area.
  • Ratios! You've heard that 1" of water means 10" of snow. That's just a standard number it changes with the system type. Plenty of water with this one, but have to be sure about ratio!
  • If the track changes it could be a big miss! The swath of heavy snow would shift.

What I am about to show you is just one run of one model. This model just started pickng up on the storm... it came late to the party! THIS IS NOT MY FORECAST! This is just for you to look upon and enjoy or hate...LOL

I'll have another full update later!

C-Ya Bye
