Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case
Posted: 06/19/2013 - Gov. Steve Beshear says Kentucky will receive a settlement of more than $6 million from a case involving online gambling.
All along the east coast of the U.S. we are seeing major flood concerns develop. That's because those folks have already seen enough rain to saturate the ground and then some. It's looking less likely that we'll be seeing the heavy rains. If you recall... I put up the NAM's rainfall forecast on Tuesday. It has changed and we'll review that right now!
NAM Thursday AM GFS Thursday AM

On the GFS & the NAM we are barely seeing any precip penetration into east KY. The GFS is pretty close to the position it had in some of the earlier runs. Now the NAM is taking more of an easterly track. Now these models are coming together a little better.
Here's the EURO
EURO Thursday AM

The EURO is pushing the moisture into a big chunk of east KY.
I have put together a breakdown of the rain chances. It looks like the farther east you go the better the chances you'll have for rain. The I-75 area will likely stay dry!

This is the way I see it breaking down in my mind and I feel pretty confident that the radar will back up the image above!
Watch these weather cams to see how it works out. I will show images from Pikeville and Somerset... each end of our coverage area.

jim, its been a while since i posted a comment about the weather. and im with you, this system does look very interesting. however, my main concern is about this upcoming winter. i value your opinion when it comes to weather because i know you are very good at it. my question is; what is your outlook for our upcomming winter season? "weather wise". do you think we might be in for another treat or do you think it will end up a mild one? very curious!
bluebell... I'll have my act together by November! Keep checking back.
Finally... I have put together a "Professional" postingk page and I'd love to have you as a friend. I have been psoting weird video updates through the day and I'll keep on doing it as long as there is an audience!
