With this being Valentine's Day I think it's a time to reflect on where my heart is located in the weathering world. It's still in love with wintry weather. Last season we got into a big fight because it was just too much to handle. She was just getting way too clingy! I mean we were seeing each other a couple times a week. So... I ended my love affair with the snow and cold!
As the months went by I started missing my true love. I wondered what it would be like if we could get together again for just a few days. Alas, she never came back! Sure there have been some close calls when I thought for sure we'd be together again... it was nothing more than a tease.
Once again, she looks like she will make a run at me and I hope to catch her attention for a couple of days. Will I?!?! I hope so! She's always been a flirt and maybe that's what the weekend could be... a flirt? I'm still watching the one that got away... not in a creepy stalker way... just in the forecast models! Will it be different this time or is she, "Still the Same?"
Now... enough of the mushy stuff... LOL... let's talk about the realy mushy stuff.. SNOW!!!!!!!
I have been looking hard at the upcoming weekend and I'll get to it in just a second. Let's just touch on Thursday since that appears to be the next player for east KY. Rain will begin late on Wednesday night and run through Thursday afternoon. Temps will likely climb into the mid 50s and I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't see highs around 60 for some folks.
It's still February and I think we'll see highs crash again and that could lead to some snow this weekend. It certainly has potential... but how much is the great question!
GFS Sun AM GFS Sun Noonish

Euro Sun AM EURO Sun Noonish

Canadian Sun AM Canadian Sun Noonish

What are we looking at here? The GFS indicates that we could see some snow here in our area. But the changeover line is close in the beginning. The EURO is a total miss with the precip PERIOD! The Gem is very promising and closer to the GFS. Now let's see which holds strong over the next few days. Right now I am keeping snow in the forecast. I'll either increase my chances or decrease them over the coming days.
