Good Wednesday one and all! The weather today was really nice across Eastern Kentucky with plenty of sunshine, and some comfortable temperatures in the 60s. Tomorrow will be ever warm as we see thermometers climb into the upper 70s during the afternoon. However the nice weather won't last too long, as we have a cold front that will bring us rain on Friday. The NAM model is picking up on this line of showers very well.
Most of the rain should be out of Eastern Kentucky by early afternoon Friday. The weekend looks nice once again with sunshine and highs in the mid 70s. Get out and enjoy it cause the weather turns ugly next week. Check out the GFS model next week:
While the GFS says the bulk of the heavy precipitation will be off to our north and west, I think that we will pick up more rain early next week than what it's indicating right now.
After the rain starts moving out, the cold looks like it's going to make a big return late next week.
Enjoy the warmth while we can.
