Watching another round of winter weather

Our Valentines day started off warm, but will end with rain changing to light snow.

Happy Valentines Day friends.  The day started off wonderful with sunshine and some seriously warm temperatures moving through the mountains.  Most of us topped out near 50, but old man winter is about to make his presence felt again in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky.  Rain is moving into the region and will eventually turn to snow.  You can track the precipitation with the radars and webcams below.

Because we were so warm today we've lowered our Forecast snow totals.  Here's the updated forecast:

The entire region is under a winter weather advisory for slick travel conditions for Saturday morning.  I suspect most of the snow will be off the road ways be early afternoon.  After the cool start to the weekend, we get ready for a taste of early spring.  Check out some of the temperatures in the 7-Day forecast.

As always we will have the latest on the storm on the WYMT Facebook page!
