Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
Posted: 6:00 PM - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
The most important question for you is, "How Much?" Right?!?! I have been toying with some totals since most of the models are getting a little bit closer... so if you are looking for the "First Call" I might have it by the end of this post. Then again, I might talk myself out of it! That would be a crappy thing to do now wouldn't it...LOL...
Let's look at it shall we... The general track of most models is finally getting together a little better. Of course, you have one that is still a little out there. So let's merge that into one general track and spit out some totals. How? That's my little secret ;)
The first part of this system looks to arrive around here on Saturday. It will start as rain or some cases a brief period of freezing rain. I'm not sold on an early time table for the rain to arrive. I really think it gets here just before noon or during the afternoon. So We'll say from 9am-11am. Then Sunday... early Sunday we'll see the rain change to snow. Not at Midnight, 1am, 2am, or 3am... 4am or later. I'll update my timing on all of this again really soon.
Once the change happens we'll go through a pretty long period of snow and maybe a break... a short one! The snow will once again begin blowing into the region courtesy the NW flow off of Lake Michigan. With the intense winds blowing into KY and that moisture being driven into the mountains I'd say we'll be in for plenty more activity through Wednesday.
I am making a "Shaky First Call" and what that essentially means is that I feel like I am really close on this part, but there is still plenty of room for improvement! Just give me one more day like today and I'll slap a stamp of approval on it and watch it snow!

I'll post a vlog sometime during the day on Friday. I'll have more details then! Maybe later tonight!
