Eastern Kentucky Weather

Widespread Winter Storm Warning

Posted: Wed 4:58 PM, Dec 15, 2010

Our entire coverage area is now under a Winter Storm Warning. The snow, ice, and rain will begin moving into east KY later tonight.

If you look at the radar it is showing snow in parts of KY. The heavier bands won't arrive until later tonight. Here's my breakdown on the mess. It really hasn't changed since late last night.

This is the exact same thing I was thinking last night.

Ice Forecast

Snowfall Forecast

With the snow and ice both coming our way... You have to be concerned about power outages and very dangerous driving conditions! Please stay inside if at all possible! This system will wrap up by Thursday evening with a few lingering snow showers for Friday morning.

I'll update you again later tonight!
