Winter Storm Continues

Chief Meteorologist Shane Smith has a quick update on the wintry mess as the snow continues to fly.

Folks  the winter storm continues to rage across Eastern Kentucky.  This has been the biggest widespread impact storm of the year even though the one a few weeks ago had more snow.  The biggest problem has been the ice.  The rain and sleet we received last night and early this morning has created an icy cocktail for the snow to lay on and is causing some wicked slick conditions across the region.  You can track the latest on the storm with the radar and web cams below.

The snow should end this afternoon but road conditions will likely not improve much due to the temperatures dropping into the teens and upper single digits.  We're back to the 30s by Tuesday afternoon under sunny skies which should help with getting the roads cleaned up.  Be sure to leave your snow reports in the comments below or email us pics to pics@wymt.com
