10 Things to know for Wednesday
Posted: 05/21/2013 - Your daily look at late-breaking news, upcoming events and the stories that will be talked about Wednesday.
If current forecasts hold... we will see some areas in the single digits for early Tuesday morning. If this happens it will be the first time since January 22nd, 2011 that we actually dipped into the single digits. On that day... which will be 2 years ago... we got down to 8 degrees.
what might be a bit more intense will be the wind chill or "Feels Like" temps. Winds will be pretty stiff and that will mean lows dropping to around 0 or even below.
Now for our early look at the snowfall forecast. Last week we started talking about the snow potential for the end of this week. We are closer now and the models haven't changed much. Yes, there has been some change, but it's still right on track to bring us some widespread accumulation. I won't issue a First Call until probably Wednesday if this holds.
Some of the early projections show at least a few inches of snow.

This was a much earlier run of the GFS. It kept the snow around for several runs, but the last few show nothing. The EURO still holding on to the snow and I suspect the GFS will come around soon.
I'll have another update Tuesday.
