Posted: 10:49 PM Here we go again... another calm period in the forecast!
Posted: 10:17 PM The moisture will continue sweeping into KY during the early morning hours on Saturday. The highest elevations could see some additional accumulation.
Posted: 10:45 PM This forecast has been a fun one to watch! It's all about to come to an end and that simply means that we are right in the middle of this mess!
Posted: 10:46 PM This little spot of wintry weather in the forecast has caused me to spend more time looking at data rather than playing Halo: Reach. I might have my winter forecast out sooner rather than later!
Updated: 11:02 PM Hmmm... some spooky things have been showing up in the models. Things that you only have nightmares about! Has it really been 8 months since the last time we had to deal with this stuff?
Posted: 10:20 PM What a Crazy past few days here in KY! Tuesday featured a line of strong & severe storms. One of those storms produced a tornado. Now, temps will struggle to reach the mid 50s for highs.
Posted: 10:26 PM The storms packed quite a punch on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Now the cool air will begin to creep back into the mountains.
Posted: 10:30 PM I titled one of my posts from last week, "A Wild Ride Is Coming & Someone's Winter Forecast," and I meant the first part! The wild ride I was referring to is the storms leading up to some cooler days. The ride is Tuesday!
Posted: 10:05 PM The weekend looks great. I know that we need that rain, but it is hard to not be excited about another warm October weekend. Plus... we have several rain chances in the forecast for the brand new work week.
Posted: 10:47 PM The next 10 days look very interesting around here. With highs in the 70s, frost, rain, and even some other interesting odds & ends!
Posted: 10:42 PM Plenty of sunshine and highs in the 60s to end the work week.
Posted: 10:13 PM Overall, Thursday's was pretty nice. The early morning rain rolled out and the changes settled into the region. The cooler air, of course, being the changes.
Posted: 10:41 PM A cold front is driving rain into KY. The rain will naturally cool things off, but the front will really bring the change.
Posted: 10:27 PM The temperatures have been very warm since this past weekend. Now a little bit of a change.
Posted: 10:15 PM The next several days will be awesome! We are trending pretty warm for the upcoming weekend. During that time we could see the thermometer climb back into the 80s.
Posted: 10:20 PM The rain and the cold made it feel a little more like winter and less like fall out there on Monday. At any second one would have thought that a snowflake was going to fall out of the sky!
Posted: 10:22 PM As the weekend draws near... cooler air is coming together. The cool stuff is ready to move into KY.
Posted: 10:59 PM Keep in mind that when we see pop up storms during the summer it is usually because we are seeing moisture sweep into KY from the Gulf of Mexico. SO the title really means tracking Nicole's leftovers. The moisture from that system will have some kind of an impact on our weather around here.
Posted: 10:59 PM Another tropical system is about to be named and some of the moisture associated with it could be in Kentucky later this week.
Posted: 12:53 AM The temps we experienced on Monday reminded us all that Fall is here! These temps were actually too cool for the beginning of fall. Our normal highs for the part of fall are in the 70s.
Updated: 11:31 PM If it could only be that easy! Summer will hold on for a couple more days before we see a change to Fall, When that change happens it won't happen gracefully. One day the thermometer will read 90 the next day, at the same time, it will show 75.
Posted: 10:40 PM I mentioned the rain chances weren't off the charts on for Wednesday. It's looking less promising now!
Posted: 10:42 PM A few weeksn back I mentioned some of the latest dates for 90 degrees. I was hoping that there wouldn't be many more. Hoping... that's about the extent of that! The 90 degree run is back this week.
Posted: 10:11 PM Technically... this post is for Thursday night, but the weekend is here as far as I am concerned! Rain moved through on Thursday and now we wait for the dry air to return.
