Severe Weather Possibilities
Posted: 10:05 PM Our Thursday system could have some stronger features. That means strong winds and some larger hail.

Posted: 10:37 PM The overall pattern for us has been pretty calm here lately. Rain is showing up in the forecast and it is just what we needed.
Posted: 10:34 PM Rain is knocking on the door and I for one would like to see it come on in for a little while. We have been pretty dry here lately... with only a few showers in the mix! The next three days might prove to be very beneficial!
Posted: 10:27 PM Hermine could come pay us a visit later this week and hang around for the weekend.
Updated: 10:31 PM The holiday weekend was absolutely amazing! We are getting ready to see a similar set-up for a couple of days this week.
Posted: 10:11 PM The overall forecast has very little going on, but the big weather picture looks pretty eventful both here in KY and out to sea. The tropics are red hot and some of our temps will be too!
Updated: 7:37 PM Is there really anything major to talk about? Not really! I do have some 90 degree temps in for next week. Plus... we are gearing up for our 25th Anniversary Show in October. I need your help in selecting the top weather events since 1985!
Posted: 10:38 PM After what seemed like an endless heat wave... we have finally entered a period of nice weather. Just about fall like!
Posted: 10:24 PM We ended the work week with an excellent day. Just what many of us needed after the rounds of rain from earlier in the week. Now, we'll play that old familiar song again! Here Comes the rain again! I feel a video tribute coming on...LOL
Posted: 10:09 PM The rain has moved out and now the heat will return! Not that anyone will be surprised with more heat... what could be the surprise will be the lack of heat. Wait, this could be a little more on the confusing side now... just read on! LOL
Posted: 10:33 PM Flash flooding is one of our biggest concerns here in eastern KY. So anytime there is a Flash Flood Watch in the mix we certainly need to pay close attention to our surroundings... especially if a creek or stream is near!
Posted: 10:49 PM The rain arrived right on schedule on Tuesday evening. The rain pushed all the way to the Hal Roger's Parkway.
Posted: 10:33 PM After rolling through a week & weekend with some pretty impressive heat... we find ourselves a little cooler. It was pretty sticky out there on Monday. Now all we need is some solid rain chances.
Posted: 10:44 PM Since Tuesday, parts of our region have been under some type of heat advisory or warning. Now, that continues into our weekend.
Posted: 8:21 PM Seems like the new big three is just that... heat, humidity, and storms. That's pretty much all my forecast through next week is showing.
Posted: 10:25 PM Once again... we are expecting some pretty hot conditions in Kentucky. There is another heat advisory out for parts of our region. This only includes a few counties, but the heat will be felt by all!
Posted: 10:18 PM As mentioned in my Wednesday post... the strong storms rolled in and the heat held on for a while. Those same storms finally beat the heat down.
Updated: 10:45 PM Mother Nature kicked us while we were down on Wednesday. First, the heat indices were around 105 in most locations. Secondly, the thunderstorms rolled in and produced heavy rains, strong winds, and loads of lightning.
Posted: 10:25 PM It's nearly a split with the Heat Advisory counties and the Excessive Heat Warning Counties. So no matter which category you fall in... it is going to be DANGEROUSLY HOT!
Posted: 10:33 PM Once again the thermometer will show temps in the mid 90s and heat index values around 100.
Posted: 9:57 PM These last few days have featured scattered showers and thunderstorms all across Kentucky. Now it's time for a brief change.
Posted: 10:36 PM A cold front will drop into Kentucky on Thursday. This will bring another round of showers & storms to KY and will also sweep the humidity out of town.
Posted: 10:07 PM Many areas reported flooding on Tuesday. The ground is very saturated and with more isolated heavy rain possibilities coming our way, we'll need to pay close attention to the weather.
Posted: 10:09 PM The next few days will center around showers & storms on the scattered variety. Widespread wetness for most of us!
Posted: 10:09 PM We all know that it has been hot here this summer. It is about to get to that dangerous level again on Friday.
