Wet For The Rest Of The Week
Posted: 10:34 PM One can just take a quick walk ouside and feel just how moist the air is and it isn't pleasant. That's a lot of juice for the these storms to work with!

Posted: 3:40 PM Quick update
Posted: 10:54 PM We all know that showers & storms during the afternoon is as common as sunrise. SO it shouldn't be a big surprise when I tell you that over the next few days we'll be in an unsettled pattern.
Updated: 10:29 PM The Pike County flooding from the weekend is some of the worst flooding I have ever seen. During my 10 years I have seen quite a bit!
Posted: 10:00 PM The showers are getting closer. The rain will lead to some cooler temperatures.... well... while you are under a shower!
Posted: 10:16 PM After the hot weeke we had last week I know most of you would like to see the heat take a much needed break. Not happening!
Posted: 9:35 PM If you are reading this and thinking that I have been slacking... well you are right! LOL Vacation takes all the work out of me!
Posted: 10:16 PM The next two days will feel like something out of September. I walked out earlier this evening and I couldn't believe how awesome it really felt.
Posted: 10:23 PM Leading into to our holiday weekend we'll see temps take a little bit of a dive.
Posted: 10:03 PM It looks like our Friday has the most potential to be a calm and less humid day. Once the weekend arrives we'll see temps climb and humidity levels begin to get into that old uncomfortable state.
Posted: 10:28 PM What a Wednesday! Heat indices were approaching 100 for some and passing that number up for others. There is a semi break on the way beginning Thursday.
Posted: 10:00 PM I know what you are thinking... the heat has been here for a while. Now we are going to have to deal with some truly solid heat. It will run the show around here on Wednesday.
Posted: 9:25 PM When you throw the heat, humidity, and strong storms into the mix you have bit of a mess on your hands.
Posted: 10:10 PM The pattern has been warm this week... but heading into the weekend we'll see highs climb back into the upper 80s and low 90s.
Updated: 11:14 PM We have been very lucky these last couple of days. The rain has been out of the area and the comfy temps have been dominant. This will be out for a few days.
Posted: 9:51 PM One of those fronts that I have been waiting for finally made it through KY. The end result is what you have been seeing out there this last day and a half.
Posted: 10:19 PM During the past couple of weeks we have had to deal with an isolated threat for showers & storms. Some days they were a little more scattered and no so isolated. This trend sticks around for a little while longer.
Posted: 10:09 PM In the weather business you go through these periods that feature rainy days or sunny streaks. Right now we are in the middle of an extended period of daily rain chances.
Posted: 10:42 PM For many of you it will be a three day weekend that will include a time of reflection... a time of remembrance... and a time for family. The weather can be our worst enemy during times like these... probably not this weekend!
Posted: 10:18 PM I hope that title sums it all up for you guys...lol... Most of us haven't had to deal with showers or thunderstorms this week. That has been fine and dandy for me! I know that we'll have a better chance later in the week so I am not worried about a solid dry spell in our region.
Posted: 10:08 PM The set-up this week is one of those that we see normally in the summer time. It will be muggy... it will be hot... there will be scattered afternoon storms!
Posted: 10:23 PM As I sit here watching the LIVE PinPoint Doppler I am seeing more rain rolling into our region. The first batch fell a part once it reached the very dry air we have over head. There's more to come!
Posted: 10:37 PM We had some pretty interesting races across Kentucky. The next race that I am interested in will be the race back to 80. I know that doesn't sound like a very interesting race, but I'd love to shake this cooler and wet stuff off and get back into spring.
Posted: 10:37 PM All of this rain is really getting old! I think it is time for a few dry days around here.
Posted: 8:46 PM I am very surprised that we haven't seen a few more rounds of showers & storms here in east KY this week. It has been action packed around us, but not right here in our region.
