Conway calls for stiffer heroin penalties

Posted: 8:27 PM - Kentucky's top prosecutor joined other law enforcement officials on Thursday to call for higher penalties for heroin dealers and better treatment options for overdose victims.

WKYT Investigates: The cost of shoplifting

Updated: 7:33 PM - University of Kentucky Professor Chris Bollinger said the average individual loses about $400 a year because of shoplifters. It’s not something that you would immediately notice, but it is an expense that you absorb every day. Bollinger said it is best to think of shoplifting “kind of like a tax" that is shared by both the consumer and the producer.
