Most people won't say this, but it is good to be back at work and on here blogging! I was out a few days last week with some flu-like symptoms. I didn't have the flu or Swine Flu... I just had some symptoms... no more detail on that...lol

The milder temps that we have experienced in the past few weeks will be back again this week! It will be a great way to end the month. However, the beginning of the next month could be quite a bit cooler.

The rain chances are going increase on Friday. A cold front will be swinging through Kentucky and spreading the rain all across the commonwealth.

It's hard to believe that normal highs for this part of October are in the mid & upper 60s, but this is the case. So what we are getting ready to enter is pretty much the norm.

The cold was hard to ignore over the weekend. It was even harder to ignore it on Monday morning. Pretty soon it will seem like a distant memory... sort of! Plus, snow was talked about quite a bit in this blog over the last few days. I some som interesting stuff on that!

We are a few hours away from the timeframe for the rain and snow to begin. It looks prmoising for the higher elevations.

As the data keeps rolling in, I keep smiling because it still looks wintry for the weekend.

Those potentially wintry days are getting closer and closer! Everything I have looked at keeps that chance for the wintry stuff alove!

Monday's post was just a teaser! Now we'll keep looking in to the rain/snow potential that arrives here this weekend!

That's one heck of a title! Why? Because by the week's end we could be looking at some wintry stuff soon!

The big storm system that we have discussed all week is here!

We have entered another dry period in our forecast. This will only be the case through Friday.

The pattern is fully loaded this week. Just as we begin to recover from one cool blast... here comes another! Soon there will be no 70 degree recovery.

The first solid chance of rain this week is about to enter Kentucky. A frontal boundary will ignite some showers & storms all across the commonwealth on Friday.

We have dealt with the cool temps and now the rain will slip into Kentucky on Friday.

Many locations started off Tuesday in the 40s. The next couple of mornings will likely feature similar temps.

The cool blast we were talking about last week has finally started pushing into Kentucky.

The only sure thing that I have really agreed with all week long has been the rain chances on Saturday. Now the rains could lead to some flash flooding!

There really is a lot going on with the weather patten. Unfortunately, it isn't happening here just yet! That means we'll keep the scattered threat for a couple more days.

If I had to rate my seasons in order it would go like this Fall, Winter, Summer and then Spring. You just can't beat the temps, colors and everything fall here in Kentucky.

There is an area of low pressure that has been the focus of my forecast over the last several days. Gues what.... it's still out there!
Posted: 10:23 PM
There were a few areas across extreme southern KY that received Tuesday's rains. More could be on the way and spread further to the north over the next few days.
Posted: 9:08 PM
After running through several nice days in a row it looks as if the rain will be returning to Kentucky.

Such a fitting title since most of us begin thinking about the weekend during the weekend on Sunday. I know I always do!

All good things come to an end and that's what happened to my vacation. It ended and I am back here ready to get back to business!
