The Fun Begins Soon
Posted: 11:55 PM All we have left is one more day with the mild temps and then we'll watch them slip down the old thermometer. Well it won't be a slip... more like a tumble!
Posted: 11:55 PM All we have left is one more day with the mild temps and then we'll watch them slip down the old thermometer. Well it won't be a slip... more like a tumble!
Posted: 10:41 PM I am keeping the rain chances in the forecast over the next couple of days. It should also be noted that I am leaning towards low 60s also making a widespread reappearance in the region.
Posted: 10:24 PM The rain arrived right on cue on Tuesday. It looks as if this batch might try to hang in here with us for the next few days.
Posted: 10:05 PM I know we all love to see the weekend. This one won't be like any other day this week. Well except for the fact that the sun will come up and go back down.
Posted: 10:37 PM We need rain for so many different reasons. Everytime we get a chance to come our way it usually amounts to a whole bunch of nothing. That's what I expect from the rain, but the cold is a whole different story!
Posted: 4:44 AM Almost sounds like a politician's message doesn't it?!?!?!? I can assure you there is no political reference here! Come this weekend you'll feel the change that I am talking about!
Posted: 9:14 PM The end of the Presidential Campaign season is drawing near. Will the weather cooperate with you and your voting plans? Will it cooperate with your candidate? I have some interesting research inside!
Posted: 10:33 PM We can't seem to keep the activity going aorund here. We get some rain last week and then some wintry stuff early this week and now zzzz....zzzzzz.....zzzzzz
Posted: 10:49 PM It looks as though temperatures are really going to sink during Wednesday morning. After that temps will begin to rise again.
Posted: 10:24 PM This looked almost like a Winter's day in the mountains. There's no doubt that it felt like one too. There was a little snow, some sleet, and of course the COLD rain.
Posted: 7:04 AM As I mentioned in posts last week there could be a few flakes of snow in the air tonight. It's not one of those significant chances of snow that will cancel classes. It is just one of those chances that makes me smile.
Posted: 10:33 PM The cold rain combination has a terrible feeling associated with it and one that I'd rather not have to deal with. It's one of those things where you say... "If it is this cold it should go a head and just snow!" That's is coming for the weekend.
Posted: 9:55 PM It's just a shame that more cold and all that rain don't get together and make the old man happy... and by happy I mean give us an early winter surprise! That won't happen, but it will be a chilly rain that we experience.
Posted: 10:07 PM I have blogged about it for days now and my friends it has finally arrived. That old change has been knocking on our door for a few days now and it rolled in here Thursday afternoon.
Posted: 8:48 PM I suppose it's time we give up our nice little 80 degree run and trade it in for what coming... The 60s! This is only if we are lucky enough to hold on to them. I have actually dropped my high for Saturday into the 50s.
Posted: 10:35 PM Almost let a good ole Merle Haggard song slip completely out there. However, there is validity in the rolling down hill part. That's what temperatures are getting ready to do across Kentucky.
Posted: 10:39 PM In weather I am forced to say that quite a bit. BUT when the phrase works... use it!
Posted: 10:18 PM We got what we wanted... just not enough of it to really matter! It's time to enter yet another period of dryness.
Posted: 9:36 PM Once again our shot at seeing real rainfall has faded away! So that means that we are slipping into another dry period. Though I do see more activity coming down the road.
Posted: 10:25 PM The last time I got a little excited about an approaching front and all of the rain potential it had... It fell a part rather quickly! So this time I won't use the term "RAIN" so loosely.
Posted: 9:33 PM First of all... let me make it clear that the chill is truly here to stay. It's only going to migrate further north during the daytime hours. Those nights will still be on the chilly side.
Posted: 10:28 PM I am sure most of you will disagree.... but I AM LOVING THIS!!!! It all boils down to the deep in my mind I know that it won't be long now until we are talking about the "S" word! Not anytime soon of course, but in the not so distant future.
Posted: 10:17 PM Waking up to a few showers in the region was a welcome sight! As I mentioned yesterday... it didn't amount to very much at all. Now it appears we'll stay mainly dry throughout the remainder of the forecast.
Posted: 10:47 PM The most exciting part of this forecast is the fact that we'll get a real shot of cooler air this week. As I discussed last week during some of my posts. Rain chances are there, but they are small!
Updated: 9:21 AM I didn't get the chance to update last night because I went home at 7:30pm and went to sleep. Had to get ready for another day of AM news and Guest Weather. So it was either sleep or pass out updating the blog.
