Posted: 10:17 PM Again, I am referring to the rain possibilities for the end of the week. Why dwell on that? It is the most exciting thing to happen to weather since I tried to shave Rob Hopkins head! That obviously didn't end well. However, this might end with at least a little splash & dash!
Posted: 5:59 AM I have been waiting to see of a couple of the models would come together and... well... they are trying to agree. This makes me think a little more highly of the rain chances for the end of the week.
Posted: 10:39 PM The thing is I haven't seen it up close and personal in what seems forever. There might even be a chance that we will all see it very soon. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hopefully we'll see that much needed rain!
Updated: 10:15 PM The dry-sunny-comfy-nice-terrific-super last days of Summer are here. The explanation above is exactly what they have been over the last week. Come on rain, clouds, fog, or something!
Posted: 10:16 PM Yawn... I love this calm, but I need some action! By action I mean clouds... not even rain! I am really feeling like each day I am saying the same thing about the weather pattern. Why do I think that? Because I am saying the same old stuff every new post I have for this week! So please allow me to change some wording around and add some other odds & ends.
Posted: 10:08 PM Well... if you are a fan of the cooler fall-like days like me then you can say comfort factor! It looks like that's exactly what we are going to get around these parts. The cooler & drier days are all I have for you in this forecast.
Posted: 10:18 PM My hopes this whole time have been a lowly populated landfall! I am afraid this is beginning to look more and more unlikely. However, I am thinking that with this path we become a little more likely to see some of the rain.
Updated: 3:34 PM If the low clouds and relatively high humidity hadn't of hung around on Wednesday I think that it would have been a great day. However, both items were present and that kept it on the uncomfortable, yet cool, side.
Posted: 10:14 PM You'll never believe what I saw during the 6pm newscast on Tuesday evening?!?!?!? An Urban & Small Stream Flood Advisory! That means that somebody received enough rainfall to be on their guard. While the advisory isn't a positive... the fact that we had showers capable of producing enough rainfall is just what the doctor ordered... sort of!
Updated: 10:31 PM It wasn't exactly a true September day out there is you ask me! Monday had plenty of heat associated with it and that makes me think of August. There are many things that August & September share but none more important than the one thing that has been getting a lot of attention these days... the peak of Hurricane Season.
Updated: 1:33 AM As we begin to slip into the last remaining hours of Hanna's travels through Atlantic... many folks along the coast prepare for what this storm might bring. Then we focus on where the next one... Ike... will be heading for!
Updated: 10:06 PM As each day passesour chances for seeing some decent rainfall from Hanna keep slipping out to sea. Models are trending that way and so are the opinions of the folks at NHC. I still think we'll get some rain coming up this weekend.
Posted: 10:30 PM The tropics are blazing hot right now! Storm after storm has lined up and will be moving across the Atlantic over the next several days. So if you are looking for the moisture... it is out there!
Posted: 3:27 AM So here it is like 3am and I am online checking out what's going on in the weather world. My checking this stuff out has me in the mood to post. Here I am and here's your post.
Posted: 8:40 AM No… the reunion won’t be the return of Chas Gayheart and Jim Freeman to the mornings! Though I sure do miss those two cats. The reunion will be a relationship that has been lost for a couple of weeks. Now the burning desire to restore their love is here. (Am I writing a romance novel or a weather blog?)
Posted: 8:37 AM The run of comfortable and dry days have been running the weather show around these parts. It is time for a little change. That’s exactly what we will get… little change! The chances of rain will be thrown into the mix for numerous days in the coming forecast.
Posted: 8:36 AM There hasn’t been much for me to say since sometime last week. So I didn’t say anything I have enjoyed this forecast and I am sure many of you did too. These last few days have been super pleasant and it looks like this pattern will be with us for a while!
Posted: 8:34 AM After dealing with a week of high humidity levels, yet semi-low temps, it is now time for the cooler & drier air to invade. Now some folks did hit those high numbers in southern Kentucky, but for most of the coverage are it was just rather warm at times. It is time for a much better period to begin!
Posted: 8:33 AM If it hadn’t been for the clouds that streamed into Kentucky on Monday it would have been a terrible scorcher! Those clouds kept our temperatures down a few degrees. This won’t be the case on Tuesday as the heat and humidity both come rolling back into the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Posted: 8:30 AM Why Hello Dolly! The moisture that we have been seeing these last few days is all a part of Dolly. I have mentioned this a couple of times this week. The showers & storms that moved through Kentucky on Wednesday were all directly related to Dolly. She isn’t finished with us just yet either!
Posted: 8:29 AM When I say heat… I mean we could be really talking about some impressive numbers before this 7-Day Forecast is through. I have also been watching the rain chances increase for our region. It looks like showers and storms will be around Kentucky combating the high temperatures for at least one day this week.
Posted: 8:27 AM It has been a very pleasant couple of days around the mountains of eastern Kentucky. It has been one of those many dips we have seen this summer. Which is a normal kind of thing!
Posted: 8:26 AM It is looking like there will be another possibility of severe weather this afternoon. This round could be a little more widespread. On Monday, these storms found their way out in southern Kentucky and not all across our region!
Updated: 8:38 AM It was only a matter of time before the nice and comfortable stretch of weather would end. Now here we are and it is on the way out of the region.
