Rasmussen writes: In August , Paul held a 51% to 41% lead over Conway. Paul is now supported by 54% of Likely Voters in Kentucky … while Democrat Jack Conway earns the vote from 39%. Two percent (2%) prefer another candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.
The latest numbers move this race from Leans Republican to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
This survey mirrors the findings in a recent WHAS11/Courier Journal Bluegrass Poll.
Both polls identified “likely” voters.
But a new CNN/Time/Opinion Research poll shows the race is a dead heat. This poll concentrated on registered voters.

CNN’s Political Blog offers this analysis.
"Not surprisingly, Paul is winning among conservatives by more than 40 points," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "But Conway has a 22-point advantage among moderates." Paul holds an 11-point advantage among independent voters, according to the survey.
