WOW! You helped raise nearly $50,000 dollars for East Kentucky flood victims and the donations are still coming in. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are making a difference. You are helping a family rebuild their home and their lives. Maybe it’s because many of you have lived through this before. You know what it’s like to watch as the water flows in to your home. You remember digging your family Bible, your pictures and treasured memories out of the mud. You remember that no matter how hard you scrub, the mud seems to always return. You remember those that helped in your time of need. You also know, next time, the water could be knocking on your door once again. You could be the waiting for help. There is still time for you to make a difference. You can donate at any Community Trust Bank. Tell them you want to donate to the East Kentucky Flood Relief Fund. You can also mail your tax deductible contributions to: God's Pantry Food Bank American Red Cross Mid East Kentucky Chapter Please mark all checks for East Kentucky Flood Relief I also want to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of volunteers and our specials guests Halfway to Hazard and former UK and NFL Quarterback Tim Couch for giving the most precious gift, their time. In closing, I would like to share a Bible verse that one of our Marketing Consultants, Lonnie Marcum, used to describe this event. Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. As always, thanks for making WYMT-TV your source for news and information. We appreciate your trust. Neil Middleton

Are any local churches or other organizations still taking clothes for flood victims? Posted by: Danny Location: Loyall, Ky. I would to comment on the fact the outo indestry has the ability for years to make more efficent fuel saving cars and trucks. the reason they do not do it is because they are scraching each back. I think everyone knows what I am talking about, except maybe our president, because no one has put the info in his telpromter. Posted by: Mike Location: Pond Creek(Belfry) Thanks so much for the drinking water.lol |
