From the Comments: Freedom is Fragile

Thanks so much for this article. My Grandfather was a WWII vet, my Father a Vietnam vet and my Brother-in-Law and several friends are Dessert Storm Vets, not too mention the many friends and relatives I have currently overseas serving today. I think we as a society as a whole, take our freedom for granted and it's so fragile.

I think we as a society as a whole, take our freedom for granted and it's so fragile. We are one mistaken decision, by a leader or activist, away from losing all we have in this country - everything that our "Founding Fathers" fought and died for could be gone in an instant. How sad that would be for us all.

There is no greater time than now to pray- and pray diligently, for our country and out leaders.  Every church and person should add them to every prayer.  I myself, vow to do that as of today.  We've all watched Him perform miracles of healing in human lives - surely He can do the same for us as a body of a country.

This was well written my friend - you made me proud to be an American today!

First, let me say thank you for the kind words.  I agree! We as a people should pray for our country, our elected leaders and those in harms way.  Freedom never comes without a price. This weekend, and everyday,  we should remember those who have paid that ultimate price to defend and protect our liberty. Because in the end, it is our birthright.

President Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expressions should be our first object."
