A Senate Republican says taking $500 billion from the Medicare program to help cover the cost of health care reform is unfair to senior citizens.  In the GOP weekly address, Senator George LeMieux of Florida says it would irresponsible to take money from a program already in trouble.

LeMieux admits there are deep problems within the current system but cautions “the solutions should not be worse than the problem” and should not be rushed.
