GOP Senate candidates debate Kentucky roots

Rand Paul is calling for an apology from his Primary opponent. Earlier this week Trey Grayons said Paul is an "outsider and not a Kentuckian". Listen to both candidates here.

Rand Paul wants an apology.

During a taping of Issues and Answers earlier this week, Secretary of State Trey Grayson said Paul is “an outsider, he’s not a Kentuckian.” Grayson went on to say, “I’m a 5th generation Kentuckian, educated here in the public schools, raising my family here”.
Today, Paul fired back saying, “I’ve been a Kentuckian longer than Grayson’s been a Republican.”  Paul is referring to the fact Grayson was once a Democrat and voted for President Bill Clinton.
Paul portrays himself a “political outsider” running against the “career politicians”.
