The pastor of a Lexington church is moving forward with plans for a “Take Christmas Back Rally” at the state Capitol.
Jeff Fugate came up with the idea after Governor Beshear’s administration decided to call the state’s Christmas tree a holiday tree instead. The Governor’s office was flooded with calls and emails from people upset about the name change. The Governor responded to the uproar announced the tall, decorated tree on the Capitol’s front lawn would be called a Christmas tree after all.
Pastor Fugate posted this message on Clays Mill Baptist Church’s You Tube channel.
The “Take Christmas Back Rally” is Monday, December 7th at 6:30 on the Capitol steps. Do you plan to attend?
