(AP) President Barack Obama is vigorously defending the health care law, saying its already helping millions of Americans.
In his weekly radio and Internet address, Mr. Obama says insurance companies are being made more accountable, small businesses are eligible for tax cuts and seniors will soon get more help with prescription drugs.
The President says small businesses have been notified they are eligible for tax cuts to help them provide health coverage to employees. And seniors who fall into the so-called prescription drug coverage "donut hole" stand to get help next month when a $250 rebate takes effect on June 15.
The President says that in time, the end result will be "a system that provides more control for consumers, more accountability for insurance companies, and more affordable choices for uninsured Americans."
