Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case
Posted: 06/19/2013 - Gov. Steve Beshear says Kentucky will receive a settlement of more than $6 million from a case involving online gambling.
The Kentucky Democratic Party is making it easier to stay in touch with voters. The KDP launched a new iPhone app today … just in time for the 2011 legislative session and this year’s Gubernatorial Race.

The app is packed with tons of useful information including county party contacts, statewide events and an easy search to determine who your State Senator or State Representative is. You can download the app in the iTunes store.
Here is an email from the KDP.
Dear Fellow Democrat,
I’ve got some big news to share with you. The KDP is proud to announce that we have become the first state Democratic organization in the nation to develop an Apple iPhone Application. Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to download this free application that will make it easier than ever to receive news and stay in contact with elected officials, party leaders and fellow Democrats.
We’re extremely excited about this new application and what it means for Kentucky Democrats. Now, all the information you need about the party is just a click away. Here are a few of the features that the new application will offer.
• Receive the latest news from the Kentucky Democratic Party and local county parties.
• View information on upcoming Democratic events across Kentucky and add the information directly to an iPhone calendar or get directions to the event sent automatically to an iPhone.
• Use the iPhone GPS to determine a user’s Senate or House district and Senator or Representative and add their information to an iPhone’s contacts.
• Enter an address to determine its Senate or House district and elected officials.
• Locate all county party information including leadership, meeting dates and contact information.
• View photos from KDP and county party events.
The application will be available beginning tomorrow morning from the Apple App Store but you can preview it at app.kydemocrat.com. I hope you take advantage of this new technology and help up spread the word about it.
We are a party that believes in reaching, being inclusive and sharing what we believe in with as many people as possible. I think this new application goes a long way in achieving those goals.
Sincerely,
Dan Logsdon, Chairman, Kentucky Democratic Party
