Talk about the Grinch who stole Christmas!
Have you heard about the post office manager in Silver Spring, Maryland? He actually kicked three Christmas carolers out of a U.S. Post Office stating they were “violating the post office policy against solicitation.”

An employee of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian organization that focuses on family and marriage, was in the post office with his wife and two year old daughter when the incident occurred.

JP Duffy said the customers in line started booing the postal worker.
In an interview with Fox News, Duffy suggested, the U.S. Post Office follow the advice of its founder – Benjamin Franklin.
“So shalt thou always live jollily; for a good conscience is a continual Christmas,” Franklin once wrote.
“This is good advice that the U.S. Post Office and all of us would do well to heed,” Duffy said.

Duffy also discussed the incident during several radio and television interviews.

Congressman Doug Lamborn has filed a resolution to protect Christmas. The Colorado Republican says he hopes House Resolution 489 will “curb some of the political correctness by putting the weight on Congress behind the expression of Christmas.”

It’s hard to believe that in America, a country founded on Christina principles and blessed by God, that we actually need a resolution to protect the meaning of Christmas. I wonder what our Founding Fathers would think?
The Pew Research Center shows 78 percent of Americans identify as Christians. The overwhelming majority of Americans celebrate Christmas. Yet a very vocal minority wants to erase all references to the “true” meaning of the holiday.
It’s time we stand up for our religious freedoms. As Christians, we should have the right to celebrate this season and the peace and hope it brings.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
