Rasmussen: Rand Paul leads Jack Conway 53 to 41

It appears Rand Paul is extending his lead over Jack Conway in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate Race. With only four days left until voters cast their ballots the latest Rasmussen Poll has Paul leading by 12-points.

It appears Rand Paul is extending his lead over Jack Conway in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate Race.  With only four days left until voters cast their ballots the latest Rasmussen Poll has Paul leading by 12-points.

Here are the latest numbers.

Rand Paul (R)                     53%

Jack Conway (D)                 41%

Some Other Candidate        2%

Undecided                            4%

Margin of Error                     +/-4%

Rasmussen writes, “After narrowing somewhat last week, the race moves back to where it’s been for most of the year. As a result, it’s moving back from Leans Republican to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.”

A new WHAS11/Courier Journal poll has Rand Paul up by 9-points. 

Rand Paul (R)                      52%

Jack Conway (D)                  43%

Undecided                            4%

Margin of Error                     +/-4%

Just one month ago Conway had pulled to within two points of Paul in this same poll.  That was before the uproar over Conway’s television ad that many viewed as an attack on Paul’s religious faith.  Here’s what Public Policy Polling said about the issue.

“Backlash over Kentucky’s Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jack Conway’s recent TV ad calling his Republican opponent Rand Paul’s deity the “Aqua Buddha” may have sunk Conway’s campaign for good.”
