Another case of animal abuse. Kittens never given a chance

Kittens dropped off at a dumpster...left to die.
This is disturbing (animal abuse story copied from WYMT (our sister station) and pasted at the bottom of this blog. The cruelty exhibited by some people saddens me. Seriously, it was a simple task of dropping these kittens off at a humane society/cat rescue (there are lots of good ones here in KY) or your local animal shelter. Given them a chance to live and be raised by a good, loving family instead of dying after being dropped off in a dumpster. If you cannot care for kittens, find a humane society, drop them off (so they have a chance) and then get your cat spayed or neutered. There are lots of low-cost spay/neuter programs all over Kentucky. I just can't fathom how people can be so awful and mindless.
*Note the image shown if from another animal abuse case...the images from this particular case couldn't be formatted for this blow. Either way, animal abuse is out there and it's sad to think Kentucky still ranks last (with reference to animal protection laws) according to the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Story provided below from our sister station WYMT:
"Animal control officers are trying to figure out who threw away a box of kittens. They were found in a dumpster, outside a volunteer fire department in Whitley County. Animal control officials took the kittens, but they were too young to survive."
